Kilbarchan

Kilbarchan was primarily a weaving village. It’s most famous inhabitant was Habbie Simpson, a sixteenth century piper.

On the first Saturday in June Lilias Day is celebrated with a procession of floats winding its way through the village to the park.

The village is perhaps one of the prettiest in Renfrewshire with many old cottages lining the main street and is home to the Weavers Cottage.
