The weather has created a winter wonderland for much of the UK over the past few weeks and Paisley has had its fair share of snow and ice.

These photos were taken of a very frozen waterfall on the Glennifer Braes Country Park. Click here for more photos.

Paisley is the largest town in Scotland. The town has a rich history; from it’s Abbey, it’s world famous Paisley Pattern Shawls, and its position at the forefront of the Thread Industry all of which brought great wealth and prosperity to the Town, enabling it to build it’s inspiring Town Hall, Museum and Art Gallery, Observatory, Schools and numerous Churches.

Paisley is surrounded by many historical towns and villages and is also ideally situated as a gateway to the Highlands and Islands, with Loch Lomond only 20 minutes away and Edinburgh a mere 45 minutes, and with the airport within 2 miles of the centre of Paisley, it really is the ideal base for visitors from near and far.

After months of disruption Abbey Bridge is once again open to traffic having undergone a major refurbishment. At night the bridge is lit up by coloured floodlights.

Famous Buddies:
David Tennant was born in April 1971. He has appeared in numerous TV & Film projects such as Casanova, Blackpool, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and ,of course he is the face of Doctor Who - guaranteeing him TV immortality despite giving up the role at the end of 2009.
